What are addictions?
Addiction is considered a disease and is manifested by compulsive behavior by using drugs or addictive substances. The causes that provoke are of social, economic, psychological and biological.
In Mexico, addictions are a serious problem at the individual, family and society.The trends of recent years indicate that addictive behavior is increasing with all that entails: health problems, accidents, violence and family disintegration.

HOW MANY KINDS OF ADDICTIONS ARE THERE?
1 .- The alcoholism is a disease and progressive cone produced by the excessive intake of ethyl alcohol in a short time creating physical tolerance and psychological dependence
2 .- Drug addiction is a disease that involves the dependence of substances that affect the central nervous system and brain functions, causing changes in behavior, perception, opinion and emotion. The effects of drugs are different, depending on the type of drug and the amount or frequency with which they consume. Their dependence can be physical or mental, and these can be very strong, moving the will and enslaving other basic needs.
3 .- SMOKING: Addiction to derivatives of snuff is the most widespread. It has been determined that cigarettes and other products, such as pipe or snuff snuff (powdered), are addictive and that nicotine is the drug that causes addiction snuff.Furthermore, smoking is a major cause of cardiac and cerebral vascular accidents, and ranks the top among the factors that cause cancer.
There are certain symptoms that reveal a young person can be using this drug: increased preference for sweets, red eyes, memory problems, drowsiness, mood swings, withdrawal from sports or hobbies, increased expenses, dry cough , headaches, etc..
Addiction Prevention:
Prevention is to prevent the emergence of risks to health of both the individual and the family and the community.
Preventing drug abuse is the most effective tool to prevent people being at the mercy of psychoactive substances. Programs of prevention of drug use are based primarily on home-school trilogy-state.

PREVENTION IN THE FAMILY
Strong families providing care to their children make a front against many social risks. If they grow in a safe environment, will acquire an inner strength that will help you make decisions. With that assurance will probably learn to reject what harms your body and mind, they will not use alcohol, snuff or drugs and be able to refuse when they are offered. This requires that parents and children to understand and discuss the causes of drug addiction, which is the way to introduce children and youth in consumption to avoid it and the deadly effect of addiction among others.

PREVENTION IN SCHOOLS
• Teaching the effects of drugs in the short and long term using simple interactive methods, respectful and fun.
Inform on what set of laws and the consequences of violating them, doing so with objectivity and without excesses.
• Collaborate with students to establish positive personal and collective goals in the short and medium term.
· Encourage sport, showing its advantages for mental and physical health.
Stimulate creative and artistic activities (music, theater, visual arts, crafts).
Develop camaraderie among the students in groups to carry out schoolwork and other activities.
· To motivate the boys to foster communication with their parents and teachers.
GENERAL PREVENTION
-Promote the physical and mental actions take time in study, sports, leisure and above all, family life.
-Accept that all drugs cause irreparable damage.
-Learn to identify them by their physical appearance and what is used for consumption (rice paper for wrapping cigarettes, syringes, rubber bands for pressure, etc.)..
-Know the names of popular drugs used in the place where you live.
To recognize the signs of intoxication to lead the person to an emergency center.
-The higher the risk level of the target population, the stronger must be the effort of prevention and early to start.
-Prevention programs should be geared to specific age groups and be appropriate to the stage of development and sensitive to cultural differences.


NO to Drugs

The drug is a machine that produces weak and immature men. The younger you start a kid on the consumer at risk in becoming "hooked".
